The Winfield High School football team, with the help from Elsberry athletes, made big strides last season to win the GAC North conference crown.
After going winless at 0-10 the previous year,, the Warriors finished last season 5-5 in their first season since entering a co-op with Elsberry High School.
The Warrior boys basketball, softball and boys soccer teams all finished the season with winning records and lost in the district semifinals.
Two Lady Warriors qualified for the state cross country meet. Junior Kadence Berry and freshman Isabel Reinbach all qualified for the state meet. Berry finished 28th place at the state meet.
Senior Logan Trupiano placed sixth in the javelin competition at the state track and field meet.
